Rhosneigr  is a long sandy stretch popular with watersports lovers and offering spectacular sea views. East-facing and sheltered from the prevailing south westerly winds. Fine for family breaks, good rock pools and coastal path runs past on cliffs above.

Treaddur Bay is popular and a starting point for some sea level traverses,

Aberfraw is also called Traeth Mawr (Long Beach in Welsh), and it's easy to see why. With such a long expanse of sand flanked by rocky headlands is perfect for walking and there are spectacular sea views across to the Lleyn peninsula.

Newborough is a long sand beach out to a headland with the option of walking back through pine forests.

The Lleyn Peninsula has many fine beaches some of which are good for surfing and sea kayaking.

Black Rock Sands, near Portmadog is a long sandy beach with access by car.

Harlech Beach and its surrounding dune area is one of the finest examples of a natural dune system in the country. It is designated a National Nature Reserve. The miles of sandy beach offers spectacular scenery, with the castle providing an impressive historical backdrop.,
